Some (of) , every and the whole

Respondiendo sobre el objeto. A pesar de que la preguntas son sobre el sujeto, el culpable responde sobre el objeto.

Pizza (incontable) slices (contable)

Who ate my pizza? ¿quién se comió mi pizza?

I ate the whole pizza. Me comí la pizza completa.
I ate all the pizza. Mo comí toda la pizza.
I ate all of it. Me la comí toda.
I ate the whole thing. Me la comí completa.
I ate some of it. Comí algo de ella (un poco)
I ate a little bit ( of it) Me comí un poco/ un cacho ( de ella ).
I ate none of it. No la toqué ( literalmente dice nada de ella)
I ate part of it. Comí parte de ella.
I only had two slices. Me comí dos cuñas (trozos del corte)

Doughnuts contable

Who ate my doughnuts? ¿Quién se comió mis donuts?

I ate all of them. =I  ate them all. = Yo me los comí todos)*
I ate none of them= I did not eat any of them. No comí ninguno
I ate some of them .Comí algunos.
I ate a few of them. Comí unos pocos.

*Para decir fui yo, al hablar se recalca I. I ate the doughnuts.
Se puede decir It was me/ I who ate the doughnuts, Fui yo quien se comió los donuts.


Who did you see at the party? ¿A quién viste en la fiesta?
I saw everybody there. Los vi a todos allí.
I did not see anyone/ anybody. No vi a nadie
I saw no one/ nobody. No vi a nadie.
I saw some. Vi a algunos
I saw a few. Vi a unos pocos.


How many in you class went to your party? ¿Cuántos de tu clase fueron a tu fiesta? Las respuestas son con sujeto.

Everybody always goes/comes. Todo el mundo siempre va/viene.
Everybody came to the party. Todo el mundo vino a la fiesta.
They all came. Todos vinieron.
The whole class came. Vino toda la clase.
Some of them came. Algunos vinieron.
A few of them came. Unos pocos vinieron .
None of them came. Ninguno vino.
Nobody/No one came. Nadie vino.
